Internship

I started a new internship this past week with The South Magazine.  I am pretty excited about it.  My first assignment is now officially on their website, and my name is on the bottoms of all the pictures I took, so I couldn't be more thrilled.  This is an unpaid position right now, but I'm hoping that this great opportunity will open doors for me.  So that's fun.  I even have another assignment this weekend at The Distillery, a new bar in Savannah that's supposed to be like a Speak-Easy.  

Other cool things to look into: St. Patrick's Day is coming up, so get out your tacky beads, "Beer Goggles" and green blazers for the party of the year in Savannah.  The Savannah Music Festival is coming up, so that is also a really big deal.  Bonnie Rait was supposed to be here, but I think some big thing happened to her and she had to postpone.  

Also, I want to look into the new restaurant down the street from me called "bar  |   food"  It's supposed to be very good.  They are working on acquiring their liquor license, so I want to wait until the "bar" half of the business opens in case they have any signature drinks.  I will give a detailed review soon.
